Rasmus Dahlberg is currently on leave from his position as Associate Professor at the Institute for Strategy and War Studies at the Royal Danish Defence College, where he usually leads the Centre for Societal Security. He will return in July, 2025, after 9 months as a visiting Associate Researcher at Rabdan Academy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Rasmus Dahlberg has a background in history and a Ph.D. in Disaster Research from Copenhagen University. Has written extensively on risk, emergency and crisis management and societal security as an emerging field in Denmark. Leads the NordForsk-funded research project RESECTOR, which investigates the principle of responsibility in crisis management in Denmark, Norway and Sweden before, during and after COVID-19.
